Regular PG Events

Research RefreshLink opens in a new window

Research Refresh is our weekly event for all researchers at the University. It is an opportunity for PGRs to take a break from their work, grab some coffee and cake, and to chat with other researchers from different disciplinaries.

It runs every Thursday morning from 10.30am in the Wolfson Research Exchange.

PG TipsLink opens in a new window

PG Tips is our weekly postgraduate event which is hosted in the PG Hub in the Junction. It is an opportunity to ask questions outside of your department and supervisor on all aspects of postgraduate life. There are weekly themes which are centred around the lifecycle of being a postgraduate.

Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits, alongside discussions on all things related to postgrad study and postgrad life every Tuesday from 3pm.

What's On

Write Here Write Now

Write Here, Write Now is a focused study time session, where you can use the Pomodoro technique to guide your studies.

The session is designed to help students focus and be held accountable for their work.

Free refreshments will also be provided throughout the session.

Student Pit Stop

Student Pit Stop is our student advice event which travels to all Library spaces and is your chance to get help from Library Student Partners about any study related questions and to learn what the Library can do to support your studies.

These are events you can drop in and out of, and free refreshments are available throughout.

Sensory Refresh

Sensory Refresh events are interactive sessions with activities to help you explore your sensory profile.

These are events you can drop in and out of, and free refreshments are available throughout.

Sensory Crafts

Sensory Crafts events are a space for you to explore your sensory profile through sensory crafts.

These are events you can drop in and out of, and free refreshments are available throughout.

Reading Space

Reading Space is hosted in our Breathing Space and is an event where you can come and take a break from your studies in a calming environment.

We encourage you to sit back and do some leisure reading during this event and will often highlight some of our Leisure Reading Collection as well.

Explore Your Library

Explore Your Library is an event where our Library Student Partners will guide you through all the services available to you.

Discover how you can maximize your library experience and receive advice for your studies. Have your questions answered and make the most of what the library has to offer.

Meet the Library

Meet the Library is the perfect event for you if you're new to the Library or feel that you would like a bit of a refresher.

We'll provide short tours to teach you how to find, borrow, and return books, and access our other resources and services.

Academic Events are the events that our Research and Academic Librarians organise for students to get tailored help for their specific subject.
