Some of my papers appear in WRAP and I didn't submit them myself, how did this happen?
If when you are checking WRAP you find your papers available that you have not directly submitted, there are two main ways in which this situation may have occurred:
Firstly, the papers may have been submitted by a Warwick co-author. In these cases if the copyright has been transferred to the publisher and your co-author has been able to provide us with the appropriate version for WRAP we will have deposited this on their behalf and credited all the authors as usual.
Secondly, the papers may have been ingested by WRAP staff. We are alerted to articles published by Warwick authors through a number of sources including:
- Web of Knowledge
- Zetoc alerts
- PubMed Central
- CSA Illumina
- and others.
In the cases where the publisher's agreement (as confirmed either with the publisher or through Sherpa/RoMEO) allows us to deposit the publisher's final version (see here for more details on versions) into the repository, WRAP staff will undertake to deposit the publisher's version into WRAP on the author's behalf. Every care will be taken in these cases to ensure that all of the publisher's conditions are met.
If you have any concerns about items in WRAP that have not been deposited by yourself, please, do not hesitate to contact us.
