History of the Warwick Research Archive Portal

The Warwick Research Archive Project (WRAP) was initially a JISC funded repositories start-up project, under the Repositories and Preservation Programme.  This project ran from 1st October 2007 until the 31st March 2009, for more information about the project and the experiences of the WRAP team in setting up the repository please read our final report (PDF Document).

After this point the service was felt to be a valuable asset to the University as a whole and the management of WRAP moved the the Library in its entirety.  At the end of 2010 with the launch of the upgraded repository software the WRAP changed it's name to the Warwick Research Archive Portal to reflect it's status as a service and to accomodate future services following a survey to choose from a shortlist of options chosen by the WRAP team.
