How often do I have to update my material in the Publications service?
Short answer: We would recommend at least twice a year.
Will I get reminders when I need to update at the appropriate times?
Short answer: Not directly from the Publications service.

Will you delete my data if I leave the University?
Sort answer: No, your data is an important part of the University's wider culture.
Submission

Do I have to deposit myself? Can someone else do it for me?
Short answer: You don't have to submit yourself but it is your responsibility to make sure it is up to date.
What happens if I submit a copy of the paper at the same time as the citation?
Short answer: The Publications team will review it and process it according to the agreement you signed with your Publisher.
My paper is a version of an earlier paper can I link the two together?
Short answer: Yes, very easily, please see the link above for more details.
What can I put into the Publications service?

I'm already using a departmental alternative for my outputs why should I use a central system?
Short answer: This is fine, but you will need to arrange for the departmental data to be passed to the Publications service.
Can I make changes to the records in the Publications service?
Short answer: No, put we are happy for you to suggest changes.
External data
All my work will be in Web of Knowledge, why do I need to log into the Publications service?
Short answer: There are a number of reasons why you should, click on the link above to find out more.
Very little of my work will be in Web of Knowledge, how can you help me?

Why can't you just download all of my work from ArXiv, Pub Med etc.?
Short answer: The answer to this question will be different for each service, please see the link above for some of the answers.
