The Library has a range of services and assistive technology for customers with disabilities or learning differences.

Library catalogue

The Library catalogue is available on height adjustable tables at various locations.

If it is difficult for you to use the library catalogues staff will be happy to assist you. Please ask at the Floor 1 Library Helpdesk.

Accessing materials

If you need help getting books from the shelves, staff will be happy to help. Please ask at the Floor 1 Library Helpdesk. Alternatively, we offer a Fetching Service (see below).

We can also post books and journal articles to you. The is a charge associated with this service. For more information, please see Postal Loans.

Fetching service

Please contact us at least 48 hours in advance of your visit and we will arrange to have the materials ready for you.

In person:  Please ask at the Library Helpdesk on Floor 1.

Note: Requests may take longer in the evenings and at weekends.

Borrowing

For students registered with University Disability Services borrowing rights are the same, with the exception of 3 day loans which are issued for 7 days.

Photocopying

A reduced height photocopier/printer/scanner (Kyocera) is available for use in the Floor 1 printing area. Initial support can be provided by Library Helpdesk staff.

Students who need photocopying support should contact University Disability Services.

Proxy borrowing

If you are registered with University Disability Services and find it difficut to access the Library you can arrange for a proxy borrower who can borrow books on your behalf. Please ask at the Library Helpdesk or email library@warwick.ac.uk.

Alternative formats

If you require material in an alternative format, such as electronically, you can request this service through University Disability Services.

Individual library inductions

We are always happy to run individual Library inductions at any time of the year. If you prefer to find out about the Library, materials, services and Assistive Technology on a one to one basis then please request an individual induction. Ask at the Library Helpdesk or at University Disability Services or email library@warwick.ac.uk. We can tailor the induction to your specific requirements.
