To play a key role in developing and shaping the research strategy for thw Life Sciences and Medicine, as well as providing input and support.
To develop detailed strategies and business plans for major new externally-funded research initiatives, developing relationships between the Science departments and other areas in the University and with key strategic external funding agencies - Research Councils, charities, commercial organisations, Government and the European Commission;
Guidance on the preparation of research proposals
Facilitating discussions between researchers and potential project partners
Providing a link between departments and Research Support Services
