The University has campus-wide access to ResearchProfessional.com
which is regarded as the world's most reliable source of funding opportunities and news on research policy and politics. The University’s subscription includes the paper copy of Research Fortnight which will continue to be available.
Register for a Personal Account
Whilst anyone on campus can access the site to carry out searches, you can only save the results of a search, and set-up alerts based on searches, once you have a registered account. To register simply click on the Self Registration button (seen in middle panel) and a pop-up window will appear asking for your details and to enter a password of your choosing. Once you have done this and saved your details (by clicking the Save option) ResearchProfessional will email you welcoming you to the system and on entering for the first time you will go through a 5-step introductory guide to the system. When you have completed the 5-step guide you will not have to do it again.
Campus-wide Access
The University has a site-wide licence for ResearchProfessional.com which enables everyone on campus to access the site to search for funding opportunities and research news. For campus-wide access simply click on the Enter button in the Campus Access panel. If you enter this way you can do searches for funding by keyword, sponsor etc and you will be able to email your results (or export them). However, you won't be able to save your searches or set-up alerts. To do this you will need to register for a personal account.
Register for A Personal Account
You can register for a personal account by visiting the ResearchProfessional.com site and click on the Self-Registration button of the Register panel and simply enter the appropriate information into the fields. Once you have saved the information you will receive an email from the ResearchResearch team welcoming you to the site.
Those who register for a personal account can:
