There are many other Benefits to be had by researchers using the My Profile module of the Warwick eRA portal. One key benefit of maintaining an individual's research activity profile in a central system is that information is only entered once and then extracted for use in a variety of different ways. This reduces the number of times a researcher is asked to submit the same information. Data in the system is currently used to showcase Warwick's expertise providing researchers who maintain their research data in My Profile with another avenue for widening exposure of their research profile via their staff web profile pages.
The My Profile module is a web based database able to hold a wide variety of research related data by individual including:
- General information about the individual (e.g. name, title, department, contact details)
- Publications (journals, books, chapters, conferences)
- Research interests and expertise
- Externally funded research projects
- Teaching
- Postgraduate students research topics
- Other detailed information relating to academic profiles
