A comprehensive class timetable is provided all year round. There are classes to suit everyone from Yoga to Spinning. The majority of classes are 1hr in duration just book yourself in to a class of your choice at the Sports Centre reception. Classes are priced at £1.20 during term time and £1.65 during vacation. Totalbody

Total body workout with Val! A fun funky class with plenty of cardiovascular training mixed up with resistance work to improve all over body fitness and muscle tone. A great way to earn your weekend!

Ashtanga is a system of Yoga involving synchronising breathing with a progressive series of postures. The process of movements produces an intense heat and a purifying sweat that detoxes the muscles/organs and improves the circulation whilst calming the mind. This class is aimed at beginners, for the experienced the moves can be developed accordingly.

Boxercise sets simple boxing moves to music. It offers you the aerobic workout of boxing but without the physical contact. This diverse workout will develop you co-ordination and balance whilst being fun, energetic and addictive! Intensity level 2-3.

pilates

Pilates focuses on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects posture, restores physical vitality, revives the mind and uplifts the spirit. Intensity level 1-3.

Yoga

Yoga uses physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation with the aim of reducing stress whilst improving your physical fitness, mental clarity and general well-being. Intensity level 1-3.

Body balance

Body Balance is the yoga, t'ai chi and pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you felling centred and calm. Intensity level 1-3.

Pursuit cycle is a 60 minute indoor cycling class based on outdoor riding. You ride to inspirational music over the equivalent of 20-25 kilometres of varied terrain, controlling the intensity of your workout with bike resistance and speed. Intensity level 2-3.

 Pop mobility

Popmobility classes are based on circuit training principles that allow you to tone and condition all the muscles of your body. Routines are set to current chart music and downloads." Intensity level 1- 3.

Body pump

Body Pump is an all over body workout using a barbell with adjustable weights to tone and condition your muscles. Awesome exercises, squats, presses, curls and lifts choreographed to great music. Intensity level 2-3.

 

Key to intensity

1. Suitable for beginners to exercise.

2. An intermediate exercise class.

3. For those who regularly exercise at a challenging level.
