Previously known as the Department of Biological Sciences, the School of Life Sciences is an acknowledged leader in biomedical education and research. The Department specialises in fundamental and applied research in molecular, biochemical, and cellular biology, with opportunities to carry out multidisciplinary research with a range of other centres of excellence at Warwick.
In 2010, the Department of Biological Sciences and Warwick HRI amalgamated to form the new School of Life Sciences. This brings together the renowned research and teaching excellence in the two departments, and forms a platform to further enhance multidisciplinary Life Sciences activity in the University.
