Our NEW Lifelong Learning Open Programme will launch this autumn and we will be offering some free taster courses during September. More information about these will be available on our website in June. Meanwhile we are offering three new short courses this summer term, in addition to our popular mindfulness and counselling courses.

Transforming Technologies: teaching and learning in the digital age

adult learners use IT*Online course*

You will consider a range of technology enhanced learning tools, and discuss how technology can be used to enhance and enliven face-to-face, blended and distance learning.

You can study a 8 week non-accredited version or a 10 week accredited version which includes a marked assessment and a certificate of completion.

Dealing with change and building resilience

Many of us worry about change but it is a natural part of our personal and professional lives. This practical course combines theory, techniques and tips to build your resilience and help you deal with change in personal and professional life. When you complete the course you will have a personal action plan with the help of lectures, readings, videos, individual and group exercises.

Meet the Saxons

Alfred the GreatThis is a 7 week non-accredited course.

Have you heard of Beowulf, the Staffordshire Hoard or King Alfred? This multidisciplinary course will introduce you to the literature, history and culture of the Anglo-Saxons. You will explore the rich and diverse literary heritage of the period and discover the spectacular art and archaeological artefacts that have escaped the ravages of time.

If you have previously attended a mindfulness course or have experience of practising mindfulness you may be interested in our Cultivating Mindfulness course.
