Foundation Degrees

The Foundation Degree (FdA) is a Higher Education qualification for those who wish to combine study with other commitments.  It provides an opportunity to combine a range of vocational, academic and key skills, which will be of value in the workplace.  It is a part-time programme with an element of work-based learning and will involve workplace tasks, a project and mentoring.  The courses include key skills and for those who wish to take their study further, the new degree will also offer a preparation towards an Honours Degree

We can say lots about the 'hard skills' we were taught, the things we were measured and assessed upon, but the degree also teaches you a great deal about yourself as a person - the softer skills. In terms of your motivation, drive, aspirations and how you support each other through the modules to ensure all succeed.  These are important skills that employees need in a competitive market which gives you an advantage over other candidates.
