WMCETT and IfL hold second successful CPD event
The Institute for Leaning (IfL) worked in partnership with WMCETT to hold a second one-day event in March 2012 to support practitioners in the West Midlands region, following the first event in November 2011.
The theme for the day was inclusivity, with several workshops offered. You can find resources from them here, along with the powerpoint from the presentation also given by Director of Professional Development at the IfL, Dr Jean Kelly.
New DTLLS programme to start in February 2012
A course pioneered by WMCETT is taking on its new cohort of students in February, and some places are still available. This course was originally due to start in January, but has been put back until 28 February, so there is still time to apply.
This flier gives more details of the next blended learning Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CBED DTLLS) programme. This blended learning programme (with a mix of face-to-face and online tutorials) has been designed to meet the requirements of work-based training and adult and community learning providers and will offer candidates the opportunity to study flexibly for their DTLLS qualification. Interviews for those interested will be held in December.
Potential candidates should be advised that this will be the last programme in the current fee structure. If you have any queries/questions, then please contact Penny Ottewill on 07920 531142 or p.ottewill@warwick.ac.uk
WMCETT and the Change Exchange networks project
WMCETT has spent a large part of this year working on the LSIS-funded Regional Response Fund project, which had the key aim of aiding “activities that allow providers to deal collectively with the operational, funding and planning implications of the changes to funding mechanisms and allocations resulting from current government policy”.
Our project involved setting up Change Exchange networks – you can read more about it here.
