WMCETT contributes to podcasting site

WMCETT Director Fergus McKay and three members of the team spent a morning recording podcasts which are to be broadcast from September on the website www.WBL-Shots.org.uk. More details are available here. This will be updated when the podcasts are available on line.

WMCETT sets out stall at LEAFEA conference

WMCETT's Priority Area Co-ordinator for AVC/ACL, Margaret Hunter, attended the LEAFEA Adult Learning Conference at The International Learning Centre, Telford, on July 15 and a WMCETT stall was set up at the event's market place for delegates to browse during the breaks. Lots of information was taken away and several people asked to join our mailing lists. More information is available here.

Report from third Professional Dialogue seminar now available

The third in the series of Professional Dialogue seminars run by WMCETT and the West Midlands HEI Forum was held on 19 March at the University of Warwick, with the focus on the subject of equal opportunities and diversity. The final report from the seminar is now available, along with lots of resources provided by delegate to share. Find out more here.

Reports from first two Professional Dialogue seminars now available

A report on the discussions of issues raised at the first Professional Dialogue seminar held in November is now available to read here.

The main themes examined that day were the implications of initial assessment and the minimum core in curriculum design, and developing the skills of critical thinking and reflective evaluation.

The focus on the second seminar was technology in education, and the report can be read here. 

The final seminar was held at the University of Warwick on Friday, March 19, and a report and resources from all the seminars will be available shortly.

WMCETT experts help at PTLLS launch event

WMCETT advisers helped increase the understanding of PTLLS among people working within the Voluntary and Community Sector at a conference in Warwickshire.

Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA) organised the half-day event, with funding from WMCETT, to launch PTLLS among the sector. Read more about it here.
