At the heart of the university campus is Warwick Arts Centre, one of the most exciting cultural venues in the country. It is home to two theatres, a newly refurbished concert hall holding 1500 people, a cinema and art gallery, allowing you to experience the best in UK and international drama, comedy and dance, hear all kinds of music from contemporary pop to classical, watch the recent box office successes as well as art-house movies, and see the latest contemporary art in the Mead Gallery. There are special concessions for students too – and all this is right on your doorstep!
The sporting life is great at Warwick. Whatever your preference – from ‘traditional’ outdoor sports to the challenge of our indoor climbing centre – you’ll find outstanding facilities. The University Sports Centre, which includes a 25 metre 6 lane swimming pool, squash courts and two sports halls, is right in the middle of campus and an indoor tennis centre is on our Westwood Campus. Warwick Sport supports 76 sports clubs as well as organising a wide range of exercise classes and sports courses. From Boot Camp to Pilates, gymnastics to golf lessons, you’re sure to find something you enjoy. You can join Warwick Sport for just £58 per year, and this gives you access to all our classes, courses, sports therapy treatments, training and sports club membership.
Warwick Students’ Union is run by students, for students. With great food, great entertainment, sports clubs and societies, it’s a hub for everything and everyone. The union provides services for all students at the university and offers lots of opportunities to get involved – to meet people and to put a mark on what happens at Warwick. It helps with personal development and gives you experience of extra-curricular activities which may be useful when applying for jobs. One of the strongest attractions of the Union is the huge range of societies on offer. The Union supports over 250 societies and 73 sports clubs, covering the most diverse interests.
