Academic Development

Main Project

Aim: Investigation of localized responses to infection in Arabidopsis thaliana leaves.

We will investigate individual responses of cells to infection and select for the cells with higher response and regenerate whole plants to observe if increased resistance is heritable in this situation.

Side Project

Aim: Elucidation of role of Hag1 in Effector Triggered Immunity (ETI).

Using different mutants of the Hag1 gene, we will investigate function of Hag1 in presence of Avirulance factors with different origins.
