Laura Usselmann

2017- PhD Interdisciplinary Research, University of Warwick

I am currently in the second year of the MRC-funded Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Doctoral Training Partnership and am undertaking a PhD in the Dallmann lab. My research involves in vivo and bioinformatic approaches to elucidating the role of the circadian clock in cancer.

2016-2017 - MSc Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research, University of Warwick

As part of this degree I completed two 12 week research placements in the laboratories of Professor Andrew Dove, Department of Chemistry and Dr Robert Dallmann, Division of Biomedical Sciences. These projects focused on the development of animal models for the study of circadian rhythms using bioluminescence.

2012-2016 - MBiolSci Biochemistry and Microbiology, University of Sheffield; AstraZeneca, Cambridge

I completed the fourth year of my MBiolSci degree at AstraZeneca, where I worked on high content cellular assay development for the Discovery Sciences function.

I was supervised by Dr Adam Hodgson during my third year project which focussed on the improvement of the preparation of genetic material for cytogenetic analysis.
