CAS request for current students (for a student visa application made outside of the UK)

If you are not in the UK, and require a CAS, please ensure your read all the guidance below BEFORE you submit the form below.

If you are returning for a period of study of less than 6 months duration, for example, to re-sit examinations:

You may be able to apply under the Standard Visitor Visa Route instead.

If your course requires ATAS clearance:

You must apply for and receive your ATAS before you can apply for a Student Visa.

If you are returning from a period of Temporary withdrawal due to ill health:

You must complete the resumption request via Student Records Online, and provide a "Medical Fit Note" from your care provider before you will be permitted to return.


Student Immigration will not issue a CAS if you were on TWD due to ill health, and you have NOT provided a Medical Fit Note, or submitted a Resumption of Studies request.

If your Student Record shows that you are in debt with with the University:

Please contact Student Finance to resolve your Student Account, as we cannot issue a CAS if your Student Record indicated that you are in debt to the University.

Important information regarding your REMOTE CAS request

  • Student immigration are only able to issue a CAS to students pursuing a full time course.

  • We aim to complete a REMOTE CAS request within 5 working days of the request being submitted.

  • If there is a delay in processing your CAS we will email to keep you updated.

  • If you are NOT in the list of Low Risk Nationals, please upload financial evidence you intend to use in your visa application. We cannot process your CAS unless this is attached.

    ABOUT YOUR CAS REQUEST
     

    If you are returning to the UK to sit/resit exams, or, if you are a taught Master's student and need to submit an assignment including dissertation, please provide in the space below:

    1) Which module(s) you need to sit/resit

    2) The dates of your exams (if known)

    3) The details of any class exams organised by your academic department which will take place outside of the main exam period.

    4) For taught Master's student who need to re-submit, the date you intend to submit your last piece of academic work.


     
     

    If you have taken ‘Temporary Withdrawal’, please provide in the space below:

    (1) The exact dates of you leaving and re-joining the programme below.

    (2) If you are currently on ‘Temporary Withdrawal’ for health reasons, you will also need to provide a ‘medical fit note’ to Student Records (undergraduate and postgraduate taught students) or the Doctoral College (postgraduate research students).

    Your CAS request will be processed once the ‘fit note’ is approved.

    1) If you have a new passport, please upload a copy of the data page;

    2) If you have been granted student visa(s) before you joined Warwick (Undergraduate students only), please upload a scanned copy of your previous visa;

    3) If your course requires ATAS clearance, attach your ATAS certificate;

    4) If you are in receipt of funding from the University of Warwick, attach your award letter;

    Priority Service:

    Some visa application centres offer a priority (user pay) visa service to enable applicants to receive their visa more quickly. If you applied for your CAS very close to the date you are due to resume studies, we will use this information to ascertain whether you have enough time to obtain a Student visa.
