Warwick SU offers lots of opportunities to get involved – to meet people, learn valuable organisational skills and put a mark on what happens at Warwick. You can reach the entire University community through the student media – Warwick’s award-winning campus radio station (RaW), the weekly student newspaper, the Warwick Boar, or even Warwick Television. REPRESENTING STUDENTS
Warwick SU represents students at all levels – from course representatives, through staff-student liaison committees to the University’s key decision making body, the Senate. It is run by students, for students, with elected Sabbatical officers and an elected Union Council.
BRAND NEW BUILDING
The beginning of 2010 saw the opening of the new Union building after a £11 million redevelopment. There is now a self-contained, multi-room nightclub with its own chill-out bar – one of the best venues in the region, bringing A-List live acts to Warwick. You can also sample a range of great club nights – the light-hearted cheesiness of ‘Pop’, the weekly party of ‘Top Banana’, the Drum ‘n Bass of ‘Pressure’ or the eclectic indie tunes of ‘Electric City’ – while the fortnightly ‘Comedy Network’ offers some of the best stand-up in the UK.
SPORT AT WARWICK
The Warwick slogan is "Sport for All" - whether you're a national or international player or an absolute beginner, we encourage you to take part and keep fit. The academic timetable is organised so that Wednesday afternoons are free for sport and many of our students compete nationally or regionally.
Warwick Sport organises an enormous range of sports: from pursuit cycle to Pilates, you’re sure to find something you enjoy. There’s also a daily programme of exercise classes. You can join Warwick Sport for just £34 per year, and this gives you access to all our classes, sports therapy treatments, training and sports club membership.

DRAMA
With all the facilities and expertise of the Arts Centre close at hand, student drama flourishes at Warwick. You can act or direct; try your hand at stand up comedy or cabaret; work backstage or write a play. WUDS (Warwick University Drama Society) puts on eight performances a year in Warwick Arts Centre; other drama groups offer a whole range of performance experience from ‘classic’ musicals and cabaret to original drama. And drama features largely in our annual Warwick Student Arts Festival – the first and biggest student run arts fest in the world.

"From the start of my time at Warwick I knew I was going to enjoy my sport here. We have such an excellent programme organised by Warwick Sport and the clubs connected to it. I was so pleased to have been awarded my bursary for athletics: it has helped me both in training and competition and has made me progress into an even better athlete. I will never forget all the fun
I’ve had being part of a club, whether it was organising social events or weekend trips through to promoting our own races and travelling to competitions together as a squad.”
Rachel Wood / Second year / Law
“Music has been a central part of my experience at Warwick. I am a choral scholar, and sing in several choirs and ensembles. The performing opportunities here have been amazing – a particular highlight was singing in Coventry Cathedral. The Music Centre is a great place to meet like-minded people, and my best friends are those I’ve met through ensembles and opera production.”
Charlotte Milligan / Second year / Comparative American Studies / Holder of the Florence Silver Choral Scholarship
