Food, Drink and Entertainment
There is an excellent choice on campus of places where you can eat and drink at reasonable prices – restaurants, bars, cafes, that provide everything from a sandwich to a main meal. Many of our food and drink outlets are open seven days a week, from early breakfast to late at night. And, of course, all our residences have well equipped kitchens so you can enjoy cooking for yourself and your friends. To make it easier for you to manage your money, we also offer our cashless card scheme, ‘Eating at Warwick’. This allows you to pay for food and groceries across the University, helping you to plan and budget throughout the year.
Eating Out on Campus
There are lots of restaurants and cafes on-campus and in the Students' Union, serving a variety of food throughout the day. Whether you want something for breakfast, a lunchtime snack, three course meal, or just to relax with a slice of cake and a coffee, you will find a great place to eat with Warwick Food and Drink and the Students' Union outlets.
There are a number of cafes which serve hot beverages, sandwiches, and hot meals within academic departments and study facilities including Cafe Library, Cafe Humanities, Cafe Social Sciences, Cafe Gibbet Hill and Cafe Westwood. The Cafe Bar in Warwick Arts Centre is also a great place to meet friends for lunch and University House Cafe is located next to the 24/7 Learning Grid. There is also a Costa Coffee on campus in Rootes Social Building.
For something a little more substantial, you can try Rootes Restaurant which serves breakfast and lunches at inexpensive prices. Within the Students' Union you will find The Dirty Duck with hearty pub food including daily roast dinners, Xanana’s which serves hot meals with daily lunch and dinner specials, The Bread Oven serving freshly baked baguettes, salads and hot snacks, King Edward's baked potato specialists - perfect for a quick lunch and Curiositea tea rooms.

If you want to cook for yourself, all our campus residences have fully furnished kitchens where you can prepare your own food. Shared kitchens come complete with cookers, microwaves, kettles, toasters, fridges and freezers. They are cleaned daily - although you’ll have to do your own washing up!
You don’t even have to go far to buy your groceries - there are supermarkets on central campus and the Westwood campus, and further large supermarkets can be found just a 10-15 minute walk away at the Cannon Park Shopping Centre. Find out more about on-campus facilities and services.
