    Visiting a department

Open Days are a great way to sample what the university can offer you and to soak up the atmosphere. As well as meeting staff and students, you can view the accommodation, visit the departments and check out the social facilities.

For most courses, if you live in the UK and are made an offer, you will be invited to a Departmental Open Day to find out more about your specific course and department. This will also provide you with the opportunity to meet staff and current students and to ensure that you have the information you need to make the decision which is right for you. Departmental Open Days typically take place from late October to May and further information will be sent to you if you are made an offer. We encourage UK candidates to attend Departmental Open Days, if possible, even if they have already attended a general Warwick University Open Day.

A small number of courses hold interviews for candidates living in the UK, at which time candidates are able to visit the department and the University, similar to a Departmental Open Day before the selection of candidates for offers. Further information about the courses for which interviews are held is included in their departmental entry.

If You are Travelling from Overseas

For students travelling from overseas, the International Office is also happy to make arrangements for you to visit the University. Please contact them on +44 (0)24 7652 3706, email int.office@warwick.ac.uk or visit the International Office website.

Further detailed advice, assistance and information is also available from the International Office’s network of representatives and offices in many countries as well as from Warwick representatives who visit these areas. For further  information on our overseas offices or the schedule of visits please visit their website.

You will also be able to visit many of the University’s departments during the University Open Days but unfortunately we are not able to arrange ad-hoc visits to departments outside of the Open Days.
