Chinese Academic to deliver public lecture on green buildings

The Department of Engineering at the University of Warwick is pleased to announce a lecture by Professor Ruzhu Wang; Director of the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).

Low energy consumption, enviromentally friendly materials, functionality and a comfortable indoor environment are the key factors for building a green building. As part of the Andrew Little Lecture Series, Professor Wang will present a lecture on the research and demonstrator projects at SJTU that lead to the construction of a new 'green' building as part of a long-term research project.

The lecture is open to all members of the University as well as the general public. The lecture will take place on Thursday 27 October in Room F111 in the School of Engineering. If you woulc like to attend the lecture please email eng.research@warwick.ac.uk

Andrew Little is a Warwick Engineering Alumnus who has made a huge success from pioneering the automated supply of books for mail order companies such as Amazon. He has kindly donated funds to the School of Engineering to establish a series of lectures around general engineering interests.
