Warwick Print Saves The Day!

When HTI, the education leadership organisation based at Warwick Science Park, organised its Go4it awards they were promising a celebration to remember for school children who would be treated to a day out in the Capital.

However, there was some uncertainty as to whether the awards ceremony was able to take place due to the need for sponsorship, but that’s when Warwick Print stepped in to provide the financial support to make sure the awards day went ahead as planned for the youngsters.

Anne Evans OBE, chief executive of HTI said: “We are indebted to Warwick Print for their sponsorship of the celebration event for schools receiving their Go4it award. Many of the pupils who joined us for lunch on board the Symphony river boat on the Thames, had never been to London. The boat took us past the great sights of London including the Tower and the Houses of Parliament.

“The occasion brought history and geography to life for these pupils as well as providing a spectacular setting for the Go4it awards ceremony. Without the support from Warwick Print, we could not have given all the young people a day which they will never forget.”

Warwick Print, based on the University of Warwick campus, was originally commissioned to provide the print materials including the awards certificates but when they learned that the event might not go ahead, they generously offered the sponsorship to make it go ahead as planned.

Craig Colledge, General Manager at Warwick Print, said: “We were delighted to be able to step in to support a local organisation and ensure they were able to provide the schools with a day to remember.”

Go4it, which was launched in 2007, is HTI's pioneering awards programme which recognises and awards schools which encourage creativity, innovation and a positive attitude towards risk and is the pioneering national employability and innovation kitemark for UK schools. The award ceremony took place in London on 29 March with 23 schools from across the country receiving their awards.
