Workshops for Small Businesses

digilab.pngThe Digital Lab Knowledge Exchange Team delivers a range of workshops for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) on a regular basis.

Led by Dr. Mark Swift, the team delivers workshops that give SMEs an insight into the digital technology available to them as well as access to the research base at the Lab. The team work to help SMEs across a range of sectors build significant competitive advantage through the application of new technology. SMEs in the region can also work with The Digital Lab to:

  • Access new business opportunities and partnerships through the WMCCM Collaborative Marketplace
  • Launch a product or use a demonstrator for your customers
  • Build new networks
  • Access research and knowledge transfer funding
  • Work with high calibre Warwick graduates through MSc, PHD and knowledge transfer programmes.

Information Environment

In these tough times where ROI and sweating the assets are paramount we need methods and solutions for delivering good business information without spending on even more technology.

If you cannot afford to invest in data warehouses and data mining technologies you can still achieve optimum benefit from your data by ensuring its accuracy, relevance and currency.

Attendees will come away with an action plan for improving their bottom line by applying the concepts they learn during the day. There will be time for individual discussion and focussing on specific sectors, businesses or issues.

Prototype your way to profit

Reduce time to market & leverage in-house design! This workshop will demonstrate the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Rapid Prototyping technologies that enable SME businesses to get from concept -> product -> market as quickly as possible.

This workshop offers hands on experience of 3D modelling software and an opportunity to prototype your concepts in a DAY!

If you are an innovative SME with products for the health care sector, come along to find funding or industry collaborators. Get free advice to help you break into the healthcare sector.

For the past year, Innovation Factory and WMG Digital have brought innovation to the healthcare sector with a series of Innovating for Healthcare workshops.

To mark the successes of this project, we are inviting SMEs interested in the health sector to join us and various funding and venture capital bodies for an afternoon of presentations, pitches and networking.

The most succesful companies from the project will be pitching their business plans in front of funders. They are great case studies for how to grow your innovative business into the health sector.
