2014 Warwick Transatlantic Fellowship

I am delighted to be in receipt of a Transatlantic Fellowship for this year. This affords me the opportunity of returning to Dartmouth College, NH, to study more of the Robert Frost documents which are held there. I will also have the opportunity to meet with academics to discuss both Hardy and Frost.

Fulbright American Studies Scholarship 2013-2014

Incredibly, I had the opportunity to go out to America for two months in the summer of 2013 to further my PhD research. I was touring different institutions to look at original Frost/Hardy manuscripts and to meet with renowned scholars to discuss memory within verse. The institutions I visited were as follows:

  • The University of Virginia, Charlottesville
  • Yale University, New Haven (CT)
  • Harvard University, Boston (MA)
  • Boston University (MA)
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston (MA)
  • Dartmouth College, Hanover (NH)

I kept a daily blog while in America and you can read about my trip in detail by going to Mnemerica - looking for memory in American poetry. As well as sampling the food and culture, I also became known for leaving origami dinosaurs in world-famous libraries, and for being accompanied by a small furry hedgehog.
