Interviews with Victor

The two clips below are portions from an interview with Victor conducted by Dr Richard Wallace for the 'Voices of the University: Memories of Warwick, 1965-2015' oral history project (http://contentdm.warwick.ac.uk/cdm/landingpage/collection/warwick). In the first, Victor discusses his early interest in cinema; the establishment of the canonical magazine Movie (1962-2000); the writing of Film as Film (1972); and his job at the education department at the British Film Institute:

 

In the second clip, Victor discusses his longstanding use in his teaching of a particular photograph – a picture depicting The Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ireland in 1979:
