Postgraduate Research Group

The Postgraduate Research Group is a forum in which postgraduate students can present their research in a friendly, informal environment to an audience of their fellow postgrads. It provides an ideal opportunity to practice and refine upcoming talks while providing the research community with a greater understanding of your work, and also aims to form a social atmosphere amongst the departmental postgraduate body.

Group sessions are organised according to the needs of the postgraduates, with individuals who wish to present work encouraged to suggest a group meeting. Sessions are subsequently scheduled to accommodate as large an audience of fellow postgraduates as possible, and frequently aim to feature multiple presentations in one session. The initial presentation and audience feedback carries over into informal discussion over food and drinks. All postgraduates in the department are welcome to present and encouraged to attend.

Students who are interested in presenting any research are encouraged to contact Zoë Shacklock (Z dot R dot Shacklock at warwick dot ac dot uk). The sessions provide an ideal opportunity to develop skills in presenting one’s own work, providing feedback on the research of others, and networking with a wider research community.
