Study Abroad

Information for Inbound Students

Students interested in joining the department on a full-year or part-year exchange will find all the necessary information regarding the application process and module choices in our Inbound Students Portal.

For visiting students not based in Film & Television Studies, we have information on the modules we offer how to register with the department.

Information for Outbound Students

All students enrolled on BA in Film Studies or BA in Film and Literature have the opportunity to spend a year abroad studying at one of our partner institutions.

Students wishing to apply for the departmental study abroad scheme must have a good 2.1 average and a reference from a member of staff (usually a personal tutor). Successful applicants will be transferred to the BA in Film Studies (with year abroad) or BA in Film and Literature (with year abroad) as appropriate.

Students enrolled on these courses extend their period of study from three to four years. The third year is spent at one of our partner institutions, with students returning for a fourth year to complete their degree.

For more information on the study abroad application process, please see the Outbound Students Portal
