My daughter was born in a birth center in Florida, so we had the least amount of medical intervention possible for her birth. The birth center was in a Queen Ann-style home, very beautiful and everything went smoothly. My husband was there the whole time, doing what he could to help. Our daughter was born at 8:00 pm and we were home by 11:30. The midwives visited us two days later--all was well.
