Early Modern History Options for Postgraduate Degrees

Postgraduate students will become members of the Early Modern and Eighteenth Century Centre and join the community of scholars there, with opportunities for joint activities such as reading lunches and work-in-progress sessions, research seminars, workshops, conferences and occasionally, work with external arts organisations and other partners (please see our Events and Archive pages for examples of the range of activities).

The Centre offers PhD supervision for a wide variety of early modern and eighteenth century topics. Please see the staff section of the People pages for our expertise.

For taught MA students, the department offers an MA in Early Modern History for students who want a taught MA course. A range of core and optional modules are available.
