Italian with French

This course (75% Italian, 25% French) has a strong focus on Italian components covering language, culture, and literature but it is also intended for those who wish to study French as a portion of their degree.

The below course structure is indicative. Modules on offer change year on year, dependent on staff research interests and availablility.

Year One

Core Modules
  Modern Italian Language I (at beginners', intermediate or advanced level) (30 Credits)
  Modern French Language I (30 Credits)
 
  The History of Modern Italy (30 Credits) or Translation: Methods and Practice (30 Credits) or an approved outside option.

Year Two/Three - Spent abroad

  You are required to take 120 credits, 90 in Italian Studies and 30 in French

  Modern Italian Language ll or Modern Italian Language IlI (30 Credits)
  Modern French Language II (30 Credits)

Intermediate year options in Italian Studies (30-60 credits)

Intermediate year SMLC options (0-30 credits)

Year Four
