Course Programme
In term 1, students will follow IT105 Working Italian for three hours per week. The course uses the following textbooks:

These books are all available from the University Bookshop.
In term 2, students will continue to follow Working Italian and will also study literature for 1 hour per week, on Thursdays from 1-2 pm in H1.03.
The literature component uses the following texts:
Mengaldo, Pier Vincenzo, Poeti italiani del novecento (Milan: Mondadori, 1978)
Roberts, Nick (ed.), New Penguin Parallel Texts: Short Stories in Italian (London: Penguin, 1999).
These are both available from the bookshop.
A further selection of poems, not included in the Mengaldo text, will be supplied by the tutor.
In term 3, students follow a four-week translation course. Texts will be provided.
