At the end of May 2013, Warwick Hispanic Studies welcomed over 50 researchers from across the world for our launch conference, Cultural Encounters in the Luso-Hispanic World. Our keynote speakers, Professor Peter Hulme (Essex) and Professor Benita Sampedro (Hofstra), and the presenters and attendees made for an exciting and dynamic two days.

This one-day interdisciplinary workshop organised by Professor Alison Ribeiro de Menezes brought together researchers from the UK, Ireland, Spain and the US to debate the latest research into the Spanish Civil War.
