Opportunities to work with Hispanic Studies

Postgraduate students

We warmly welcome inquiries from postgraduate students wishing to spend up to three months with us as visiting PhD researchers. The university requires all potential visiting PhD researchers to apply through its centralised postgraduate admissions system. More information about the application procedure for visiting research students.

Postdoctoral scholars

We warmly welcome inquiries from postdoctoral scholars wishing to spend a period of time with us under established competitive schemes such as the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme , the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships Scheme, or Warwick's own IAS postdoctoral fellowships, based at the Institute for Advanced Study.

Academic colleagues

We are very happy to consider requests from colleagues at all levels who would like to spend time with us in an honorary capacity (Fellow, Associate Professor, Professor). Although we can offer no departmental funding, honorary status brings with it access to the University library, sports centre, and other University facitilies, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the department. Click here for the University's policy on honorary academic staff.

Project-based collaborations

For experienced researchers who wish to collaborate with members of the department on a specific project, Warwick's Institute for Advanced Study offers IAS Visiting Fellowships, which enable distinguished researchers to spend between one and ten weeks working with Warwick-based colleagues.

In all cases, your initial contact should be with the member of Hispanic Studies staff whose research interests are most closely aligned with your own.
