Mark Knights is interested in early modern texts. He has worked on print culture and his latest book Representation and Misrepresentation in later Stuart Britain (Oxford 2005) examines its relationship to partisan politics.

He is also involved in a collaborative project to create a 'virtual research environment' for the study of texts, and a research project to explore words and concepts in the early modern period.
