The Changeling - 20th Century British Stage History

The first twentieth century production of The Changeling was a radio one: on 10 November 1950, an abridged version of the play (no sub-plot) was broadcast by the BBC; several radio versions followed. On the stage, the first attempt was that of an amateur company at the First Folio Theatre Club, London, in May 1950. Since then, the play has been consistently staged: performed both by amateur and professional companies, it appeared at least several times every decade.
