Out of Bounds: Civility, Censorship and Imperial Law

Dr Tanya Agathocleous from Hunter College, New York, will be presenting a talk entitled "Out of Bounds: Civility, Censorship and Imperial Law". All are welcome!

Date: 27th April (Wednesday Term 3 Week 1)

Time: 4pm - 6pm

Venue: Room H545, Humanities Building

Dr Agathocleous is the author of Urban Realism and the Cosmopolitan Imagination (Cambridge UP, 2011). Her talk is based on her current book project, which looks at the British colonial courts' criminalisation of "disaffection" in Indian print culture to examine the role of negative emotions in literature produced in the colonial context.
