'History Around You' On-Line Seminars And Discussions

This paper reports on how on-line seminars and discussions were introduced into the teaching of History Around You, an industrial archaeology module offered as part the history undergraduate programme at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). The conclusion draws out key considerations arising from the experience, arguing that, with careful preparation and implementation, on-line seminars and discussions can bring considerable advantage in enriching students' learning experiences.
