Institute of Health is being disestablished

The Institute of Health is being disestablished from 1st February 2013 as part of the disestablishment of the School of Health and Social Studies. The health related social science teaching and research activities will continue with the transfer of staff to Warwick Medical School.

The activities and staff working on ethnodrama and UNTRAP, and housing standards and health will be located with Gillian Hundt in the Social Sciences and Systems in Health Research Unit in the Division of Health Sciences as will Alan Dolan with his research programme on masculinities. Clare Blackburn will be located in the Division of Mental Health and Well Being with her programme of work on children, disability and the social determinants of health as will Libby Burton with her research programme on Health, Well Being and the Built Environment. Wolfgang Markham will be located in the Statistics and Epidemiology Unit in the Division of Health Sciences with his programme of work on young people and well being. Jas Bains who has so ably administered the Institute will be working in the Division of Clinical Sciences.
