Education

Watch this short video to hear Professor Shaaron Ainsworth introduce the Pathway and research environment at Nottingham:

The School of Education at Nottingham offers a strong and engaging research environment for postgraduate research students, early career and experienced researchers.

We work globally through our international campuses and academic programmes, and locally through partnership schools, professional networks, educational and artistic organisations, and communities.

We are a large department with researchers working in and across 6 research centres which generate locally relevant and internationally leading knowledge in the following areas:

Centre for International Education Research (CIER) Centre for Research in Arts, Creativity & Literacy (CRACL) Centre for Research in Educational Leadership & Management (CRELM)
Centre for Research in Human Flourishing (CRHF) Centre for Research in Mathematical Education (CRME) Learning Sciences Research Institute (LSRI)

Our staff provide advice to UK government departments and agencies on policy developments and have appeared before parliamentary committees as experts. There is also a strong tradition of providing policy advice to international development agencies, including the ILO, UNESCO and the World Bank.
