The University is the only UK university to have its own railway station on campus, known as ‘University Station’. The Station is a real asset to the University, making travel by train a convenient option for many. University Station is only two stops from Birmingham New Street where staff, students and visitors can catch trains to locations all across the country. The journey between the University and Birmingham New Street takes approximately eight minutes.
Unfortunately there is not enough space to allow students to park on Campus during working hours (other than disabled students). For details of car parks near to but not owned by the University, please use the map found at the link above.
The most convenient parking for people who do not have University permits, including students, is at the Victoria Park Pay and Display public car park on Granville Road; marked as #1 on the map at http://www2.le.ac.uk/maps/off-campus-parking.pdf . A 3 minute walk along the side of Victoria Park past the front of DeMontfort Hall and turn right down Peace Walk at the War Memorial to University Road, brings you out at Campus Entrance # 3 beside the Maurice Shock (Medical Sciences) and the Adrian (Biological Sciences) buildings.
Commuting between Birmingham and Leicester is very easy by train; journey time 1 hour. At Leicester, the University is a 10 minute walk from the railway station (exit station turn left, up London Road for 800yds and turn right along University Road 800yds); Birmingham has its own University rail station, 5 minute journey from Queen Street station, trains every 10 minutes.
Commuting between Leicester and Warwick is difficult and slow by public transport.
There is a "Travel de Courcey" X6 Express bus from Leicester St Margaret's bus station, passing Walnut Street/Royal Infirmary (10 minute walk from UoL), Fosse Park, M69 to Coventry University Hospital and Pool Meadow bus station, journey time 1hr 20 min; then local bus out to UoW.
Leicester to Coventry by train requires changing at Nuneaton, with total journey time ~1 hr 10 min; then take local bus from Coventry rail station to UoW.
Travel by car is recommended via M69 - maximum 1 hour journey time UoL to UoW.

- Campus Shuttle Bus Service (via Canley train station)
A new free shuttle bus service between the University of Warwick campus and Canley Railway Station will run from October 2013. This will consist of three trips to the University from the station each morning, timed to coincide with train arrivals from Birmingham, London and Oxford and also two return trips back to the station each evening to connect with key train departures. The service will run from Monday to Friday.
We have also improved the running time of the day-time Campus shuttle bus service, by reducing waiting time and removing stops that were identified as not being utilised during last term’s passenger survey. This has greatly reduced the round trip time from 60 minutes to 30 minutes, whilst maintaining a frequency of two buses per hour.
