FAQsFrequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is my student/ Warwick ID? Your student ID number will be 7 digits long and can be found on your invoice as well as on your offer letter.

When I attempt to register I get the error 'Invalid University number or date or birth - please try again'. What should I do? If you have just been issued with your card number you may need to wait 24hrs to allow the card number to be download from the central records database. If you have had the card longer than 24hrs, check that:

  • You have entered the correct card number (ensure that you are only inserting a 7 digit card number do not include the check digit on the reverse of your card).
  • The date of birth has been entered in the correct format (DD/MM/YYYY). (E.g. For the date 24th September 1972, enter 24/09/1972)

If you are sure that you have entered the correct information contact the Academic Office to ensure they have the correct date of birth associated with your card number.

What is my e-mail address? Once you have registered with IT Services, and your account has been activated, you will have an e-mail address which is usually in the format of either: initials.surname@warwick.ac.uk or firstname.surname@warwick.ac.uk. Check your e-mail address.

How do I change my password? Read about how to change your password and then change your password yourself. Please remember to set up your challenge response questions.
