Dr. Anthony Grice

Biography

Anthony was born in Burton upon Trent, and spent most of his early life living in the Staffordshire town of Cannock where he attended Chase Academy secondary school (formerly Lyncroft House).

He began his career at the University of Warwick in 2002, undertaking a Masters degree in Chemistry, which he completed in 2006 (2:1 Class Honours). The final year of his undergraduate study included a 6 months research project in the group of Prof. David Haddleton studying Atom Transfer Radical Polymerisation as a Continuous Process, which resulted in his first publication.

In 2006, he began work on his Ph.D, also under the supervision of Prof. David Haddleton, titled 'Investigation of Single Electron Transfer Living Radical Polymerisation'. He graduated in the summer of 2011.

Currently, Anthony works within the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick for Birmingham Science City, a collaboration between the University of Warwick and the University of Birmigham, where he oversees the running of the GPC facilities as well as helping provide Analytical Testing of Polymer Materials for chemical companies and other research establishments.
