Professor Patrick Unwin

Pat has published more than 350 papers on a diverse range of topics and his research has received international recognition through significant awards, most recently the 2018 Charles N. Reilley Award from the Society of the Electroanalytical Chemistry and the 2017 ISE-Elsevier Prize for Experimental Electrochemistry. Pat is a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award holder (2017-) and held an ERC Advanced Grant to develop innovative nanoscale electrochemical methods. Pat gives lectures around the world and has an extensive network of international collaborators.

Pat is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the International Society of Electrochemistry. He is a member of the Editorial Committee of Annual Review of Analytical Chemistry, and a member of a number of Editorial Advisory Boards, including the ACS journal ​Langmuir​. He is a former editor of Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and a member of the honorary board of that journal.

Professor Julie Macpherson

Julie has an excellent research and academic record. She has won the Andrew McCamley Prize for best undergraduate lecturer four times (2001, 2003, 2007, 2013, and 2017) and the Warwick University Award for Teaching Excellence (2009). She is also the author of over 240 published papers.

Julie has received many prestigious awards (e.g. Marlow Medal, McBain medal, Geoffrey Barker Medal). She was highlighted as a Young Alpha Female, in the Sunday Observer Magazine featuring young successful women and won "Young Researcher of the Year" in the Times Higher Awards. Julie is on the ownership board of PCCP and is currently the Director for the Warwick CDT centre in Diamond Science and Technology. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Chemistry Student Guides in conjunction with the RSC, a new series of undergraduate textbooks written by students and academics.
