The Big Bang Fair 2014

In 2014 we took some of our ultrasonic demonstrations to the Big Bang Fair, which had over 75,000 members of the general public visiting, the majority being youg people. Our resident fly made a guest appearance and we used both of our "bat hemlet visors" to let people try and locate the fly using sonar. We also showed how we could visualise resonance and plate vibrations - something that we use in our research for designing new ultrasonic transducers. The Fair ran over several days and the CIU team ran our stall in shifts.
