Beaujolais NightFete 3i

At the end of the day, there is no difference. They are both pictures from parties! I can tell you that one of them was with International students whereas the other one was with mainly French ones but that's about it! One of them was open bar when the other one was Beaujolais (drinking in the street) night...

If you speak to exchange students, they will tell you that one of the hardest thing is to settle in with local students. You have to start working on that as soon as you arrive which is not the easiest time but you wont regret it!! As far as I was concerned, it was not too hard due to my linguistic and cultural advantage...

I met the international students in my residence...

American FriendsAnniversaire MaudLasagnes chez France

Name a country and I'm sure that they were represented somewhere! The cuture differences were most of the time put aside or worked on...

  • The Italians were always late (sorry it's Gaspare's fault) and they do eat pasta all the time
  • The North Europeans ate much earlier than the southern ones (mainly my friends from Amsterdam),
  • Sheesha smooking was wild spread in my halls thanks to the Syrian guy who also drank lots of Caramel tea
  • The Spanish girl made wonderful tortilla patata,
  • The Portuguese girl loved kalimucho
  • ...etc...

The list could go on but this is part of my year and you have make your own experience and idea... It's part of the fun!

France et Eglantine

Throughout the year, I also met French students. Some were readily mixed with the international community, some less...
In any case, it was very good for me to have the occasion to share my experience with them and get an idea of what they were going through.
Being back in France also gave me the opportunity to see my childhood friends.

All the people on the pictures in my website are my friends (plus all the other ones I didn't have room for) and they all added something different to my year; they opened my eyes to the world out there and are all fantastic people. All the memories I have and all the things I have done with them have made my life more beautiful.
