LabVIEW is a graphical programming environment used to interface with measurement and control hardware and to analyse the data received. It can also function as a modelling and simulation tool through the use of virtual inputs and outputs. The team's training covered the use of a USB Data Acquisition (DAQ) device to receive analogue inputs, process this data, and produce outputs appearing on both the LabVIEW software and the DAQ device itself. It was also demonstrated to us how to interface the package with other programs that may be useful in later analysis of aspects of the EPS. Our thanks go to National Instruments, who provided us with software as well as the training.
