Xiaojun Wei

Profile

Xiaojun Wei received his BEng and MEng in Civil Engineering from Central South University, China, in 2008 and 2011. Then he joined the Dynamics and Control Group at the University of Liverpool and completed his PhD there in 2015. His PhD thesis, entitled Active Vibration Control in Linear Time-Invariant and Nonlinear Systems, addresses several intellectual challenges in development and application of active vibration control techniques.

In October 2015, Xiaojun was appointed a Resaerch Fellow with the Humans and Structures Laboratory at the University of Warwick. His research activities concentrate on experimental investigation of dynamic performance of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) elements and structures.

Research interests:

  • Vibration testing
  • System Identification
  • Cable-deck interaction
  • Active vibration control

  • Nonlinear dynamics

  • Aeroelasticity
