summary of the project
the objective of this project is to carry out computational analysis of micro- and Nano-scale fluid flows. the majority of this project is dedicated to understanding micro and nano fluids while researching into recent development in fluid flow modelling.
Micro- and nano-fluidic devices are present in a wide range of application areas including ink-jet printing technology, protein analysis, drug delivery, lab-on-a-chip etc.
Lab-on-a-chip systems require micropumps and valves to manipulate small volumes of a liquid sample. Often large external pumps are used to deliver the necessary pressures, but for portable systems a number of on-chip micropumps have been developed over the last decade.the majority of the research is on this area.
