Fluid Control: Skin friction reduction on an airfoil as a result of active control of turbulent flows.
This investigation focuses primarily on reducing the skin friction experienced by an airfoil as a resuld of turbulent flow.
The aim will be achieved through computational modelling of turbulent channel flow. The flow will be measured and controlled appropriately to reduce skin friction.
